TRY OUT
GEOCACHING
If
you like exploring and walking with a purpose,
Geocaching is a fun way to add interest.
Effectively a treasure hunt with a GPS – it will
introduce you to new locations and areas, and
we have the technology for you to try it out.
The treasure (cache) is found from co-ordinates
registered on the web and usually consists of a
box of low value fun items to exchange, and,
most importantly, a logbook for you to register
your visit.
We
will loan you our GPS and introduce you to the
website –
geocaching.com – where you can register your
account, check out the local caches, and even
log your visits on your return.
Check out
geocaching.com which will give you a fuller
introduction, then drop us an email, or give us
a ring, to let us know you’d like stay with us
to go geocaching around Tongue (and book the
GPS).
What’s in it for us I hear you say? Well,
you’ll obviously need to stay at least a couple
of days to find more than the very easiest
caches (and we have at least a dozen within 10
miles of Rhian) so we hope you may stay a little
longer to explore and enjoy our fabulous
location.
